WORKSHOPS
At this time, all of our day workshops are open to folks of any skill level, however they are intended to be more intensive classes for students that are interested in becoming very skilled social dancers in a variety of partner dance styles. If you are just getting your feet wet, not sure of your commitment level and/or have no experience, we recommend starting with an evening pass only, which includes a completely beginner friendly class, social dancing and our student showcase performances. No partner is necessary to attend any class. If you are unsure of where to start or have any other questions, please reach out to Tess before purchasing your ticket. Tickets will also be sold at the event!

Showcase and demonstrations - Fusion routines
Introducing our very first studio showcase featuring choreographed Fusion routines! Our students have been practicing these routines for months and are excited to show you what music inspired partner dancing is all about and just how fun it can be. There are 3 goals to every student routine:
1. Dancing to a song that inspires them and feels good to express.
2. Moving smoothly between 2 or more dances with different parts of the song.
3. Learn patterns, combos, techniques and styling that can be used while social dancing to other songs.
Come cheer them on and see if it inspires you to learn a Fusion social dance routine for next year's Fusion Fest!
Showcase and demonstrations - Social dance demos with Tess
Here at House Of Art dance studio, we believe in these 3 ideas:
1. 90-95% of the music you love, listen to and encounter on a daily basis is partner danceable. Even if it's not "traditional" to a specific style of dance.
2. Partner dancing makes listening to great music even better!
3. Anything you can do with a partner can also be done solo, which quickly helps you to become a confident partner dancer.
For the last part of our showcase, Tess will demonstrate both solo and lead and follow partner dancing to a variety of songs with a little help from the audience. Our goal is to inspire you and your friends to learn how to partner dance in quick, fun and easy ways to music you love. It's easier than you think and so much fun!
Social dancing - late
We will finish the evening with tons more social dancing. Thank you so much for being part of an exciting new direction for partner dancing in Southern Oregon. We will see you on the dance floor!
